Food Service Director
New Vanderbilt Rehabilitation and Care Center is seeking a dedicated Food Service Director to join the team. We are a skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility that is dedicated to helping our residents maximize their potential and live their lives to the fullest. We offer a modern, comfortable, and secure facility staffed by caring professionals where individuals receive the finest sub-acute medical care, rehabilitation services, and 24-hour skilled nursing care. Responsibilities of the Food Service Director:
- Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Nutritional Services/Dining Services Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations governing our facility.
- Assure quality nutritional services are provided on a daily basis and that the Nutritional Services/Dining Services Department is maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.
- Plan, assign and inspect the work of Food Service Staff.
- Maintain inventory of food and nonfood items.
- Oversee the cleaning of the kitchen, storage, dining areas, and equipment.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements of the Food Service Director:
- Credentialed as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Licensed by the NY State Dietetics Licensing Board.
- Two Years of senior living experience- preferred.
- Possess the necessary skills to effectively utilize Microsoft office applications, electronic medical records, and nutrient analysis programs.
